After moving to BBC R&D in early 2020, Purminder embraced leadership and collaborative teamwork in her role as the lead for the BBC Edge technology forum. BBC Edge enabled teams from across the BBC to learn, share and influence workflows while engaging with the broader industry and sharing technology developments through curated agendas – the first 24-hour test of Starlink, for example. Through the curation of valuable information on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices, sharing insights through panels and presentations for IBC, MPTS, EBU, SVG and Broadcast Techfest, Purminder has leveraged her expertise to become a sought-after thought leader. As Technology Evangelist Purminder will continue to advise, produce and present across IABM TV and the IABM Impact Stage at IBC. Nicola Cogotti is an innovative and hands-on Chief Technology Officer, Solution Architect, and founder of Alpha Cogs, with over 20 years of experience driving cutting-edge software development and digital transformation across the media, fashion, luxury, and sports industries. With a Masters degree in Artificial Intelligence Applied to Business Management and AWS AI Practitioner certification, Nicola has a proven track record of architecting scalable, secure, and high-impact cloud-native solutions. Under his leadership, Alpha Cogs has earned multiple industry accolades, including the IABM New Member of the Year Award and Most Innovative Team-Driven Software Development Company (SME News, 2024). Steph Lone is the Global Leader of the Solution Architecture (SA) team for Media and Entertainment business unit at Amazon Web Services. In her role, she oversees the SA’s defining the technical strategy and architectural solutions for the largest Media, Entertainment, Games & Sports customers. With over 25 years in the Media & Entertainment Industry, primarily at Paramount, she was responsible for the digital execution of live sports broadcasts including multiple Super Bowl’s and soccer productions for UEFA and SerieA. Steph was the SVP of Engineering for CBS Sports Digital for 8 years before joining AWS in March 2022. Steph’s experience includes leading the migration of thousands of enterprise and media centric workloads to the cloud allowing for the exit of multiple data centers. Steph is a board member for IABM, holds 2 patents and was named Cynopsis’ 2020 Top Women in Media as a Tech Leader, 2020 Broadcasting & Cable Tech Leadership Award and is the 2024 WICT Women to Watch – Tech Award winner

Gareth Gordon

Chief Operating Officer, QTV

Gareth Gordon brings over two decades of broadcast experience to his role as Chief Operating Officer at QTV. With a background in live event delivery as a Vision Supervisor and Engineering Guarantee, he has worked across major domestic and international productions for BBC, Sky Sports, Amazon, DAZN, ESPN, Eurosport, and Olympic Broadcast Services. Since joining QTV in 2020, Gareth has played a pivotal role in scaling the company’s operations. He led the development of QTV’s REMI production model for the Scottish Professional Football League, oversaw the technical design and rollout of VAR operations for the Scottish FA, and, in 2024, was responsible for the successful delivery of Sky Sports’ Rugby Super League contract, a landmark project for QTV’s national expansion. Gareth’s focus on operational excellence, technical integration, and delivery at scale continues to shape QTV’s growth as a leading production partner in the UK broadcast landscape.

Donna Mulvey Jones

Donna is an operations leader with over 20 years’ experience establishing and scaling post-production teams producing renowned nonfiction content. Having driven major transitions across HD, UHD, HDR, and file-based delivery at global production companies and Netflix, Donna now leads post strategy at Banijay UK including setting up a new inhouse facility. Currently focused on navigating the disruptive influence of cloud and AI in the media supply chain, Donna is shaping how Banijay UK’s post-production teams adapt workflows and technology investments to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving industry.

Anna Lockwood is an experienced global media industry executive, currently heading the Media & Sport vertical at Telstra International. Justin is Head of Broadcast & Video Ads for EMEA in Google's Sellside Monetisation Partnerships team. His current focus is enabling advanced video and audio advertising in OTT, Connected TV and on Smart Devices, having worked on dynamic ad insertion for a number of broadcasters, ad insertion on linear TV (via HbbTV) and a number of other video and audio monetisation opportunities for broadcasters and publishers across EMEA.

Justin has been with Google for 19 years, including working on Google Video and YouTube and across a number of broadcaster and publisher monetisation products (Ad Manager, Dynamic Ad Insertion and AdSense). Prior to Google, he spent 5 years at the BBC (later Red Bee Media) working on operations for the BBCi interactive TV services.
Passionate about TV, user experience and advertising, Justin brings his industry experience and technical knowledge to this complex and evolving space.

Mina Sabet

An award winning producer, writer and respected leader in media and production, Mina Sabet graduated from New York University with a BA in Journalism and English. She is currently the Head of Production for TED, the acclaimed nonprofit conference series featuring expert speakers on education, business, science, tech and more. Previously, she served as executive producer for NBC’s iconic morning show in Philadelphia, securing a full point jump in ratings during her first year, and served on the launch team for award-winning shows on NBC, as well as production teams for CNN, ABC, and FOX television. In 2013 she was asked to launch and lead content strategy and digital creation for one of Nestle’s largest global brands. She lives in Philadelphia with her family.

Stuart has been involved in training and education for the Television industry for almost thirty years. Most recently he was a Head of Department at Solent University, Southampton, with responsibility for a range of degrees across Media Technology, Computing and Television Production. He has worked in Further and Higher Education and the charity sector and is a passionate supporter of new talent in the industry. He has undertaken recent research into the shortage of young people studying the fields of media technology and broadcast engineering. As a consequence he believes there is a clear need for retraining and upskilling for both new and long standing professionals in the industry.
